About the role
Nanomox is hiring a full-time laboratory technician with a BSc, MREs or MSc in chemistry (or closely related discipline) to support the R&D lead in the exploration the capabilities of a novel synthetic method, the Oxidative Ionothermal Synthesis (Mater. Adv., 2020,1, 3597-3604) to produce advanced inorganic materials, such as zinc oxide, for a wide spread of applications.
What we are looking for
Essential:
- A BSc, MSc, MRes or PhD in Chemistry, Materials or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in wet chemistry labs.
- A strong communicator both in writing and in speaking (English). You will be able to produce clear written reports and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders of different backgrounds.
- Able to work independently on a variety of projects and manage her or his time effectively.
- A high level of self-motivation and the ability to effectively plan and organize work.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Highly professional in all interactions—i.e., punctual, tactful, positive, flexible and cooperative.
- Organized and detail minded.
- Enthusiastic for the vision, mission, and values of Nanomox.
Desirable:
- Experience with particle characterization via XRF, XRD, SEM, BET, UV-Vis and DLS.
- Experience in particle synthesis
- Experience with sustainable chemistry
- Experience with ionic liquids
- Strong understanding of electrochemical principles, techniques, processes and applications.
